Job description

Who are we?

FMTC Safety is the safety training center for Offshore training (OPITO & NOGEPA), Wind training (GWO), Maritime training (STCW), and Industrial training. Every day, we prepare people to work and live safely on an oil platform or a ship.

In addition to safety, flexibility is our top priority, and we are dedicated to our clients. We take complete care of our clients' training needs through our customer-oriented services, including flexibility, expertise, and additional services beyond our training programs.

We have several locations worldwide: Amsterdam Schiphol, Dordrecht, Lage Zwaluwe, IJmuiden, Houma (USA), Dunkirk (FR), and Ras Tanura (KSA).

Job Description

The role of firefighting instructor at FMTC is a challenging one. You will train participants daily to manage various emergency incidents, including hazardous materials, fires in internal accommodations, spilled chemicals, radiation incidents, fires involving flammable liquids, rescues from heights and confined spaces, and aircraft fires and crashes.

Our participants are already working on offshore installations, including ships and oil and gas platforms. Therefore, the training includes not only helideck firefighting (HERTM, HERTL) but also the more technical Offshore Emergency Response Team Member and Leader (OERTM, OERTL) courses.

Ideally, you have experience in an offshore environment, airport, industrial complex, or local government where aircraft are used.

For this role, we are looking for a hardworking team player who is also willing to take on other tasks, including maintenance and assistant roles. You should be able to guide and coach participants as needed to meet the relevant standards. You understand the relevant standards, including OPITO, STCW, NOGEPA, and GWO.
